Information we collect

When you purchase a membership or request or manage a ride, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, and telephone number.
• Your membership status, private member code, included hours, and remaining-hour balance.
• Pickup and destination details, requested date and time, number of hours, and passenger count.
• Ride preferences, including music, refreshments, accessibility needs, and special requests you choose to provide.
• Your text-message consent choice and the date and version of any online policy acknowledgement.
• Messages and other communications with Desert Limo.
• Basic technical information processed by our website host, such as IP address, browser type, and security logs.

Payment information is entered with our payment provider. Desert Limo may receive transaction details and confirmation, but we do not receive your full payment card number.

How we use information

• To create and administer your membership, verify member reservations, and track prepaid hours.
• To review, confirm, prepare, and provide your ride.
• To communicate about availability, payment, timing, and service details.
• To remember rider preferences when you ask us to do so.
• To protect the website, prevent fraud, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that help us host the website, maintain reservation records, send messages, and process payments. These providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or rights, or as part of a business transaction.

Desert Limo does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by California law. Mobile information and text-messaging consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Text messages

When you provide a mobile number and opt in, you agree to receive text messages from Desert Limo at that number, including booking confirmations and updates about your ride. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not cancel a booking; call 760-820-LIMO to change a ride.

We may use a messaging provider to deliver these texts. We share only the information reasonably needed to provide the messaging service, and we do not permit the provider to use your opt-in information for unrelated marketing.

Cookies and online tracking

Desert Limo does not currently use advertising cookies or collect personally identifiable information about your activities over time across unrelated websites for behavioral advertising. Website hosting, security, payment, and embedded-content providers may automatically receive limited technical information when their services load or are used, but we do not authorize them to use reservation information for unrelated advertising.

Because Desert Limo does not currently engage in cross-site behavioral tracking, this website does not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We will honor legally required browser-based privacy choices where applicable and update this policy if our practices change.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide service, maintain required business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Regulated trip, waybill, and complaint records are retained for at least three years when required by applicable transportation law, or longer when another legal obligation applies. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of online transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your privacy choices

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to know, access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you. You may also ask questions about how it is used or shared. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some records may be retained when legally permitted or required. Desert Limo will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Children and policy updates

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website.

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and, when a change materially affects how we use personal information, provide additional notice on the website or through the contact information we have when required by law.
